About Us

The Greater Tomah Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tomah Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) are two separate organizations under one roof that share a common goal in promoting our incredible community. The office is located at 310 N. Superior Ave., conveniently situated between the north side of Tomah and Tomah’s historic downtown.

The Chamber and Visitors Center is the central hub for promoting tourism and business in Tomah. Visitors and locals can stop in anytime for brochures, relocation packets, economic development information and member referrals through member business cards and brochures.

Each organization is governed by separate sets of bylaws and boards of directors. The Chamber has a board of 20 directors: 15 elected and 5 ex-officios who report to the chamber membership. The CVB has a board of 8 directors who report to the city council.

The Chamber’s Mission
To promote a culture where businesses can prosper and our families and community flourish. Our goals are to help improve our community, our members’ businesses and improve the quality of life that their employees rely on. The Chamber’s funding is membership based and develops programming and events based on the needs of members and the community.

The CVB’s Mission
To coordinate overall operations of an accommodation-funded Convention & Visitors Bureau through the development and implementation of programs aimed at attracting additional visitors, meetings and events to Tomah. The CVB’s funding is based on hotel room tax collected by the city, and the CVB’s operations have a primary purpose of attracting paying visitors to spend multiple-night stays in our city.
